Miss Anna turns 2!

A few days ago my sweet Anna Banana turned 2! I had all of these high hopes for her birthday....nothing went according to plan, and her birthday was still wonderful anyway. She adores all things "orsey" and "pony" right now. I decided to go with a cowgirl theme and I am sure glad I did. It was fun to decorate for and Anna was the cutest little cowgirl ever!

During the day we took Anna to the zoo and the funland to ride on some of the rides. Then that evening we had a pulled pork, beans, corn on the cob and watermelon dinner. We also made some homemade ice cream with the ice cream maker!

Anna fell asleep right before we started to eat dinner. She missed the majority of her own birthday party. We ended up eating cake and ice cream without her and we didn't open presents until the next day. Oh well, she loved her presents and we had fun celebrating her and loving on her.

Dear Anna, (Banana, sissy, tisster)

I can hardly believe you have been in my life for 2 years...and even before that! Oh sweet girl I adore you! I don't know what I would do without you! You're the sweetest, sassiest, cutest little thing to grace this world. You are the little queen in this family and you know it 100%. You are strong willed and demanding but you can melt all of our hearts with your sweet hugs and kisses and your little voice.

Here are some of your favorites at 2:
Foods: Mac and Cheese, pancakes, pizza, cheese, bananas, crackers, cookies ("cookes"), chicken, chocolate milk, scrambled eggs
Toys: dollies, ponies, pwincesses, tea sets, bubbles
Words: "Hiyah Dada" "Wach this" "Whadda you doin?" "Dowin and Pahkah" "Hi Tyty!" "Shoooes!" "I go byebye" "Ouusiiiide" "Pushpush" (stroller) "Wash a show"
Things to do: Play outside, ride on the car, watch Daniel Tiger, play with babies, play with brothers, go to the store, go down slides, play with friends, play with kitties, go to the zoo

We are so in love with you and are so happy you are in our family. You are such a joy and we can't wait to watch you continue to learn and grow! (But not TOO fast ok?)

Love you forever little one,

Mama

Best friends

My Ty-guy turned 7 months old and my Anna girl will be 2 this upcoming week! It is so crazy how fast the time has gone and how much my babies have grown these last few months.

They positively and absolutely adore each other. It is so special to witness this blossoming relationship grow right in front of my eyes. I am so thankful that they have each other. I know they will be best little buddies in the years to come. I love these two. I love these two together. I am so blessed.

Magic Valley Air Show

Last weekend was awesome! James and Sierra have been living in Twin Falls for the past couple of years while she finished her education. James was just accepted to dental school and so the next chapter of their lives begins in a month or so. They will be leaving ID soon and we will sure miss them! We all decided to come and enjoy their stomping grounds last weekend. It was so much fun. We had a wonderful BBQ and went paddle boarding and kayaking on the river. It was amazingly beautiful...I had no idea Twin was so gorgeous. We also went over to the airport for both an evening and a daytime air show. Everyone had a fun time! It was HOT on the asphalt but we had the umbrella and LOTS of water to keep us comfortable. It was just a good time all being together. Can't believe Jason will be back home soon! Then we'll ALL be together at Lake Powell this year! Woot woot!

This plane actually LANDED while flying on the top of this moving truck! Crazy!

 More water mama!!!

Virginia City

That next evening we stayed in the quaint little town of Ennis Montana. We stayed in the most darling cabin with PLENTY of room for all of us. It was so awesome. I ran to the little town grocery store, got some stuff for dinner and breakfast, was asked to participate in the local softball game that evening (I respectfully declined) , and headed back to the cabin. In the morning we drove 15 miles over to Virginia City.We rode the train over to Nevada City, watched a shootout, had ice cream, and did some shopping in the little stores. It was so much fun. We also panned for gold which the boys LOVED. A great little place to go as a family for sure. I will definitely be coming back and bringing Anna and Nate. ;)

Yellowstone 2014

As soon as the kids got out of school we jumped in the car with EE and headed to Yellowstone for our annual trip. We got a hotel room and a cabin and the only availability they had was in June. We usually go in August so this was a bit of a new experience for us. It was so amazing. June is the month to go! We saw TONS of animals and there were fewer people as well. No more August for us! I can't believe that we even saw 5 bears this year! In all the years we have been going to Yellowstone, we have NEVER even seen ONE bear!

We got into a bit of rain but only for a few hours. The weather was perfect too...not too hot! It was so much fun....especially since Nate stayed home with Anna so we could actually ENJOY seeing things. She is at SUCH a hard age right now! The next day we headed up to Montana and to Virginia City!

School's out for SUMMER!

The kids got out of school a week later than usual this year. The school district decided to stay later and start later since the weather is always so divine in September and still a tad questionable in June around these parts. The boys had a great year. It was full of changes but the changes were for the best. They had great teachers and met new friends. I have absolutely LOVED the fact that they could walk or ride their bikes to school. It was a huge weight off my shoulders.

I decided to welcome the boys to summer with a water balloon fight. They absolutely loved it! We're all ready to go and ready to pack in those good summer memories over the next 12 weeks!
