Christmas 2014

We had a wonderful quiet Christmas at home this year. It snowed on Christmas Eve so it was so much fun waking up to a WHITE CHRISTMAS!

We enjoyed a fancy Christmas dinner with ham and turkey followed by a special Christmas Program. Dallin played his clarinet, Parker sang a solo and Landon played the piano for us. We ended the evening with testimonies and driving around to see the Christmas lights. Such a special time of year. I am so blessed and grateful for my many many blessings. Most especially for my husband and sweet babies. 

A couple of before and afters

I've been on a painting kick the past couple of weeks. I got an old hope chest from a friend and now I use it as an entry bench! (With shoe storage inside!) I also scored some cheap end table for thirty bucks a couple of months ago. Nate and I are getting tired of our wobbly old end tables so the new yellow tables are a nice refreshing touch! I just love things like this. It is a nice creative outlet for me. It is great giving new life to old pieces of furniture! 

Christmas recital

Both Dallin and Landon have been taking piano this fall with my sweet neighbor Mikki Scott. Landon was a little hesitant at first to give it a try. I am SO glad he is enjoying it and learning very quickly. Their Christmas recital was tonight at the church and they both did a phenomenal job! Love that there is MUSIC in this family! It makes me so happy!

Getting in the Christmas Spirit!

 We raced home Friday after Thanksgiving to meet up with Kelsey and Logan at Mountain River Ranch. For a canned food donation everyone could go on a wagon ride for FREE! It wasn't very cold but it really helped us get into the Christmas spirit! Fun night!

Thanksgiving in BOI

We decided this year to spend the entire week with my family in Boise. We left on Sunday so we could get there early in the week for Parker to participate in a basketball camp at Capital High School. We stayed at a hotel for the first three nights so we wouldn't overwhelm my parents. It ended up working out really well. We had so much fun seeing friends and spending time with family.
We stayed all day with Perry's on Monday. Bowling, treats, late night laughs, and Nate and Tom went to watch Logan's basketball practice. (To get coaching ideas).

We attended the Festival of Trees with everyone, saw Carter's first place finish in the Kindergarten art competition, and enjoyed dinner at Wok King. Crazy, but later that night the entire resturant burned down to the ground! What are the crazy odds of that?? We were able to meet up with friends at Merritts and we went to a YUMMY dinner at this new place called Fork downtown Boise with the Haskells. It was a really really great trip.

Thanksgiving dinner was fabulous, the girls even snuck out for awhile to get some black Friday shopping done which is always so much fun. We were FINISHED by midnight this year! Awesome!
