Yet another wrap up!

I've been a bit of a crappy blogger lately. Seems like all of my posts are just wrap ups of weeks at a time. Oh well, its summertime and we are just plain busy. Well, busy AND lazy at the same time I guess.

This past week Dallin earned his BEAR in the scouting program! So proud of him and his hard work!

We celebrated our wonderful DAD on for Father's Day. We took him up to the Rexburg Air Show and had a great time. The weather was just perfect and we met up with Uncle Yamo!

Then we drove up to Ashton and tried out Big Juds. All these years of living in Boise and we never gave it a go over there. It was pretty good. Then we went up to Mesa Falls since we've never been there with Nate. We've been many times with other people but never with him. It is so incredibly beautiful up there.
We gave Nate lots of surprises on Father's Day and made him some kabobs. YUM!

Monday Parker played the baseball game of his life. He hit 2 home runs and had 2 hits to 3rd base. All of his teammates were chanting "Par-ker Par-ker" and picked up up when he made it back home after his 2nd homer. He won the MVP award for the game as well. He is so much younger than the other kids on his team yet he is so naturally talented. It is FUN to watch him even though baseball is honestly not my favorite. It is really growing on me now. ☺
My friend who has twins on Landon's team took some pictures of him last game. She is the one who did our family photos last fall and she will take baby pictures when sister gets here. She is so amazing. I love these pictures of Landon!

We're getting so excited for baby to get here. I catch my husband sitting in her room sometimes just rocking in the rocking chair. 18 days to go.....I'm hoping its sooner! I'm getting SICK of being pregnant and I can't wait to see, hold and smooch this little girl!

Baby drama

Yesterday was nerve racking. I went to my 37 week appointment and we had a bit of a scare. My belly is only measuring at 35 weeks and I actually LOST weight last week. I told the Dr. that I was very concerned this baby is small. I've gained half the amount of weight that I usually gain when pregnant. The Dr. was concerned as well and he ordered an ultrasound and told me to come back to the office in one hour. He said if baby was in the less than 10th percentile that she would need to come out TODAY. Whoa. I was NOT ready for that news.
I came home, got the boys to a friends house, tried to not cry, and packed a bag for the hospital. I met Nate back at the office and we had the ultrasound done. Sure enough though, everything is fine and baby is growing right on track. She was moving tons, and measuring around the 50th percentile. No worries. We'll go back in another week to see how things are going. What a relief! This baby is giving me such drama already and she isn't even BORN yet!

It's crazy how thinking you are going to have a baby NOW makes you realize all of the things you still need to get done. After the appointment the boys and I went to Costco. We spent a bunch of money and now I am feeling better about some of those things. We're a lot closer to being ready now. Haha.

Today the boys and the neighbor boys had a lemonade stand. They made over $10! They screamed and yelled pretty much and every car that drove by!  It kept them busy for at least 3 hours today....that would have to be my favorite part. ☺ Bless the good people of the world who stop for lemonade stands. It makes  little boys VERY happy.

The haps.

This summer is definitely feeling a whole lot different then what we are used to. I'm used to getting a wonderful summer sun fix down at Lake Powell. Temperatures in the 70's with tons of wind just doesn't really feel all that summerish I gotta say! We're staying close to home but we are staying busy.

We did some ice blocking with the Activity Day girls last week. Always a good time. Too bad we had more boys come along with us then we did girls! Haha.

When we're not at the baseball fields at games we have lots of baseball swinging and catch going on in the backyard. Dallin has been busy with soccer camp which wraps up tomorrow. I'm so glad that boy is interested in at least one sport!
We've been reading lots and are all signed up for the summer reading program. I'm grateful for boys who love to read. ☺

Nate has been working hard for months on putting together a Crit Series here in Idaho Falls. There have been countless meetings, hours reaching out to sponsors, and his first race was this week. He had a great turnout and the new trailer looks awesome! I'm proud of him and the hard work he has put into this project.

I've finally started feeling 9 months pregnant the last couple of days. Everything hurts, I waddle all over the place, and I'm starting to just feel uncomfortable. We're getting close though so I guess that is a good thing. 37 weeks on Friday. Oh man, giving birth freaking hurts. Not looking forward to that again.

And finally.....and random, yes,...........Landon is a water bottle hoarder.

Island Park

Our old neighbors from the Boise days invited us up to their cabin in Island Park this weekend. Nate was out of town (yet again) at another bike race but the boys and I decided to go ahead and go. I've never been to Island Park, just driven through on our way to Yellowstone.

We had such a great time and Island Park is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! The cabin is in a place called Bill's Island and there are some MONSTROUS cabins on this island. The Loveland's cabin was one of the original cabins in the area. Lakeside views to die for!

We fished:

Caught crawdads and minnows:

We hung out in the cabin for awhile because a storm blew in and it started to SNOW everywhere. June in Idaho....ugggh!

After the storm we packed up and headed over to Big Springs. It is a really cool place where the river starts. It basically comes up out of the ground and begins in this particular place. The water is always 52 degrees and it is absolutely beautiful. Usually there are large (protected)  fish in the crystal clear water. We only saw a bunch of seagulls and a muskrat though. Not one fish in sight but hey, it was still really neat!

Thanks for a great time Loveland family!

O yes, and on a completely unrelated side note....I've been a crafting FANATIC this weekend. I'm pretty sure I've reached my quota on crafts for the year! I've been working on lots of things for baby's room but today I made something that I have been in desperate need of.

You see, yesterday morning I was trying to take a bath when I heard a knock at the door. They boys were downstairs playing and didn't know anyone was here. 30 minutes later and 30 minutes of CONSTANT banging (not knocking) at the door, the boys finally heard and came upstairs to answer it. It was the neighbor kid who literally didn't leave until the boys finally came upstairs.

I was FURIOUS. 30 minutes of banging is just too much. I love that all of the neighborhood boys come to our house, I really do. I'm glad they like to be here and usually have no problem with boys hanging out for hours on end. We just needed a way to give the kids a hint when it ISN'T a good time for us.
So today I made this little beauty:

Let's hope that the problem is solved. Aka.....go away, and come back later. We will NOT be answering the door!

Fun in the sun

My whole extended family has packed up and is heading to Lake Powell right now. I am so SAD to be missing out on all of the fun. Alas, running the risk of giving birth on a houseboat in the middle of nowhere doesn't sound too appealing. Nate tried to make me feel better by envisioning a tiny one year old girl next year enjoying the sun with a big floppy hat on and a cute little swimsuit. I'm looking forward to that already.

We are staying very busy though in the meantime. Another week has flown by!

We headed to the water park Monday morning because it was 90+ degrees out. We went with some friends and had a great time. I spent the entirety of the day in the lazy river with Landon. It felt so good to swim with the belly and all. After awhile though I started to feel really claustrophobic and I bribed Landon to get out with me and get a snow cone instead! The older boys were LOVING the slides now that they are big enough to go alone.

We've been busy with baseball again. With 4 games a week we stay very busy. Parker has been hitting so well. He plays on a team with 3rd graders and he wouldn't want it any other way!

Dallin and Parker also finished doing a tennis camp this week that they really enjoyed even though it was early in the morning and really a cold a couple of the days.
I had a Dr. appointment today everything is going very well. Baby is head down, no dilation, no effacement, and the weekly appointments start now! I feel really small this pregnancy and finally asked if everything was ok. I've been worried that she isn't gaining enough weight or that maybe something was wrong. I was absolutely shocked to hear I've only gained 15 pounds this pregnancy. He said she looked great and her size is just fine and that I don't have anything to worry about. 15 pounds? I think I'm taking myself out for a Big Mac tonight or something. ☺ I've ALWAYS gained at least 30 with the boys. So strange.

I've been busy working on the baby's room these past few days. It is FINALLY all starting to come together. Pictures to come soon. (Did you hear me my cyber stalker Aubrey?) Very SOON!!

The one month countdown begins TODAY!! YAY!

PINK

Is there anything sweeter in the world then an excited  Daddy painting his first little girls room PINK?

I THINK NOT!

Alone time

Day 3 of my entire family out of town so I figured I'd better catch up on the old blog while I have all of this QUIET time. I'm trying hard to get things done and also trying to ENJOY it....alas, I miss the noise and the chaos. ☺I do however enjoy the uninterrupted sleep. I woke up at 10am today. BLISS!
I've checked off all sorts of things on my to do list: deep cleaned the house, organized baby's room, caught up on laundry, had the carpets professionally cleaned, done some shopping for baby things that I still needed, and finished a few projects. Feels really good to get some of those things done.

Our first 2 weeks of summer break have been absolutely CRAZY! Baseball has started and with 2 boys playing games and having practices I feel like all I do is sit in my camp chair and watch boys with bats and gloves!
Landon and Parker love baseball so I love to support them and watch them play! It will be crazy for the next month but then its over just in time for the baby to get here.

We've had birthday parties, orthodontist appointments, friends over every day, trips to the park and we've even had Dad races to watch!

So why didn't I go with my family to Utah for Nate's latest race?

Well, my friends in my ward threw me a baby shower last night! We had some yummy food and I got some more darling little outfits and fun girlie things! It was very sweet of them to do this for me.

I think we had about 15 ladies come. I'm grateful for sweet friends. To top off the night I went over to Jessi's house and she gave me a pedicure. Oh, it was heavenly! You KNOW you have a good and true friend if they will give you a pedicure when you can't reach over and paint your own toe nails!

I was too busy taking pictures of everyone else that I didn't even get into one picture. I did take one of myself in the good old bathroom when I got home though.

5 weeks to go! Whoa baby!
