Cabin Trip Labor Day Weekend

A trip to the cabin has been long overdue. We didn't make it down there once last year and I've really been missing it. The entire Starnes Family was able to get there this year and it was a great time. We rode 4 wheelers, shot the gun, played outside, make buddy burner breakfast (Mak and I WON this year!....Oh yeah!) fishing up at Smith and Moorehouse, and had fun spending time and playing games together. I wish I could bottle up the air at the cabin. It smells so amazing. I miss it already!

End of Summer Wrap Up!

Can't believe that the summer is OVER! Here is a little wrap up of the CRAZY end to our fun summer days.

We went boating with the Bybee's. Nate and I have decided that we need a boat. If we are going to live over here, 10 minutes away from a lake, we'd better make this happen sometime in the near future. Especially since our boys are really starting to enjoy it! We're really shooting for sometime next year. Boating is one of those few things that EVERYONE in the family can enjoy....babies all the way up to teenagers. Plus, everyone is stuck together in small quarters forced to spend time together. I love it.

I surprised the boys with a quick trip down to Lagoon.....just the older boys and me. We had a great time from about 10am until 8:00pm. After a fun, long hot day we had all concluded we had seen enough cleavage, 12 year olds making out, gauged ears and huge tattoos to last us an eternity. Saturday night at Lagoon brings out some of Utah's best. Yikes.
It's always good to get some good quality boy time. We really did have a fun day.

Ash came up and spent a few days with us. I decided that because she had such a crummy summer that I was really going to show her a good time. We CRAMMED it in. A trip to Bearworld, a chick flick, Yellowstone, Grand Teton National Park and Jackson Hole all in 3 days. It was great. I sure love her and appreciate her friendship all 33 years of my life.

Of course we had to throw an end of summer party. The party formally known as the "Boys Club" party has now morphed into a party for both boys and girls since.....girls are kind of cool now. We'll thank Anna for the suddenchange of heart. It was a smashing success. Since our backyard isn't finished we decided to add a mud pit this year! One of the boys said, "This was the best thing I did all summer." If that isn't payoff....I don't know what is!

Throw in some Elephant Cave, swim lessons, camp out in the backyard, tennis lessons, and Cress Creek and that would be how we wrapped up our summer.

One of the best summers we've ever had. Hands down. Love these kids of mine. So ready for them to go back to school though.....ready for some routine again!
