Lake Powell 2013

Lake Powell was just a tad different this year. 2 pregnant mama's. No Uncle J. Sickness galore. Lots of little ones around. It was still great though. Its like no place on earth!

Nate had to bail out on going yet again this year. He's got lots of pretty huge things going on at work so he had to opt out. We were so sad he couldn't come. I was VERY sad as I was left being the lone ranger when it came to cleaning up puke and diarrhea while I'm already queasy myself. It was a lot of work...and with a baby who had a hard time sleeping I've decided I will NO way go without him next year. Not even a possibility. ☺ Remind me if I try to talk myself into doing it alone again next year please.

Parker got up on the wakeboard and by the end of only 2 days was already going outside both wakes! SO awesome! Guess we better start saving for a boat of our own. ☺

Swimming, boating, fishing, eating, sunbathing, playing in the 113 temps. Family and fun. Grateful for all of the good memories. So happy to return to the arms of my favorite man in the world though. I appreciate him so much when I am away. It's been a great week.

Time to get moved into a new house now! Hopefully soon............

Landon's "worst day ever"

Poor poor Landon. He had a rough day yesterday and I thought I'd record what happened so that when he is older he can see how truly terrible a day can be when you are 6 years old.

He got into a pillow fight with his brothers and got smacked in the face causing a bloody nose.

He was fighting with his brothers and therefore lost all computer privileges.

He played in his t-ball game and didn't get a snow cone right after the game because he needed to eat his lunch first.

After lunch his mom took him to get a snow cone. We waited 20 minutes for his rainbow cone and he was ELATED about it.

When we got home he tripped out of the car onto the driveway and spilled his snow cone and scraped his knee.

He cried so hard about the dropped snow cone that his bloody nose started up again.

"My life is terrible!" He exclaimed over and over again. "Today is the worst day of my entire life!" "No one's life is worser than mine!"

Oh, I love this boy. ☺

Egin

When I heard that the weather on Saturday was going to be nice I told Nate I wanted to get out of town and do something fun. We invited some friends and headed over to Egin Lake for a day of skimming and sunshine! It was strange to not be there without my brother and his buddies since that is where they used to LIVE back when they were all in college. The kids loved it though. We spent a good 4 hours playing in the sand and the warm water.

The pictures can tell the rest of the story:

So happy that summer is finally showing face around this side of the state! Love it!
